Dr. Martens x The Great Frog: Heavy Metal Footwear Collection Launches July 26th

In 2022, the renowned subcultural footwear brand Dr. Martens teamed up with the iconic London jeweller The Great Frog to create a unique collection that fused heavy metal aesthetics with classic footwear designs. This initial collaboration resulted in two pairs of classic Dr. Martens boots adorned with crossbone charms, zippers, and silver hardware, embodying the spirit of heavy metal both in style and substance.

Building on the success of their first partnership, Dr. Martens and The Great Frog have come together once again to reimagine the iconic 1460 boot, the Ramsey creeper, and a 7” Satchel. This new collection features standout silver buckles and western styling, adding a fresh twist to the beloved designs. The campaign for this collection showcases the talents of emerging singer-songwriter Florence Rose, stylist and visual artist Beau Tiger Rae, and model Mars Chen, reflecting the modern and edgy vibe of the collaboration.

Reino Lehtonen-Riley, the Creative Director and Owner of The Great Frog, expressed his excitement about the project, stating: “Since the success of the first DM’s x TGF collection, I’ve been able to explore design ideas inspired by the roots of both The Great Frog and Dr. Martens; the early days of classic British rock n roll culture – but reinventing it through a modern lens with a new British youth culture DIY punk aesthetic.”
